Can I claim compensation for my delayed luggage ?
You will need to contact the last airline you travelled with.
What is the time frame for locating my luggage ?
Your luggage will be traced for the first 5 days by GBS after which time the Airline will continue to search.
Will anyone contact me to say they have located my luggage ?
You should receive an automated email or text message advising of a delivery time for your luggage
If my luggage is not located, how long do I wait before I can claim and who should I contact ?
If your luggage has not been located within 21 days you need to contact the airline and/or you Insurance company to begin claim proceedings

Courier / Delivery Queries

How do I find out a delivery time for my luggage ?
If you go to the Courier drop down box at the top of this page you will find the courier details for the airline you travelled with, please contact them directly.
My bag is with the courier, what does this mean ?
The courier company assigned to your airline have collected your bag from the airport and will contact you to advise a delivery time.
I won't be in at the delivery time indicated. What should I do ?
If the time for the delivery is not convenient, please contact the courier company for your airline in the Courier drop down box at the top of this page to arrange an alternative address or delivery time.
Will anyone contact me to say they have located my luggage ?
You should receive an automated email or text message advising of a delivery time for your luggage
My bag is showing that delivery will not take place today. Who should I contact to change this ?
Each airline has a specific agreement with a Courier company and it may not always be delivered on the same day it was received at the airport. See FAQ When will my bag be delivered.
When will my bag be delivered ?
Each airline has a specific agreement with a Courier company. Same day delivery or Overnight delivery, see below,

Same Day Delivery, this will usually be the same day as your bag arrives at the airport unless it arrives after 1630pm. The couriers should advise you of a delivery time.

Overnight Delivery, this will usually be the next working day after your bag arrives at the airport if before 1600pm. If it arrives after 1600pm the delivery will take place within 48 hours. for further updates contact the courier company for your airline, details are in the Courier drop down at the top of this page.

What do I need to do if I have taken a bag that does not belong to me ?

I have received my delayed luggage but items are missing. What should I do ?
You will need to contact your local Police Station to get a Crime Reference Number. Then contact your Insurance Company or Airline to initiate a claim.
Do I have to pay extra for more luggage ?
Each airline have their own specific allowances. Please check with your airline prior to travel, especially for large or bulky items as there may be an excess fee charged by the airline.
My delayed luggage was delivered damaged, what should I do ?
You need to put your claim in writing to the airline within 7 days with any accompanying evidence.
What is my baggage weight allowance ?
Each airline have their own specific allowances. Please check with your airline prior to travel.
I reported my luggage missing whilst abroad, do I still contact GBS ?
You need to keep in contact with the details on the letter you were given when you made your report. Alternatively contact the airline.
I need a letter confirming when I received my delayed luggage for my Insurance ?
You will need to contact your airline to get this letter.
Can I claim compensation for my delayed luggage ?
